Bishop Salvatore Cordileone Coming to Connecticut

Fr. Richard Cipolla from St. Parish Mary's Parish in Stamford, Ct. says Mass at Sacred Heart Church in New Haven where I attend. This Sunday Fr. Cipolla asked if we would attend St. Mary's for a Solemn Pontifical Mass, celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Salvatore Cordileone, according to The Latin rite of the 1962 Missal.

Bishop Salvatore Cordileone is the Bishop of San Diego Ca. and will offer Mass Feb 25, 2007 at 11:30 am

Bishop Cordileone fully supports the Mass of the Latin Rite and he is here to help and support Traditionalists.

The new pastor at St. Mary's Parish is really not in full support of The Latin Mass
This is very upsetting to Fr. Cipolla and we want to encourage and support our wonderful priests who give us so much by offering this Mass for the benefit of our souls. These Traditional Priests are truly very special men.

Please if you live in the area and are able to come and support us, please do
If you cannot attend I ask that you please pray for us. Your support and prayers mean everything.

As we know we are a "Remnant Few" and we must pray for those who do not know the real and true meaning of this Mass that Christ founded, or are too stubborn to acknowledge it, or have been simply brainwashed into the belief that the Novus Ordo is a good thing. I refuse to support this.

It is not a touchy feely kind of faith that we share. It is not the place for hand holding and clapping.
This is not what happened on Calvary, and that is what the Mass represents folks!!!

Sorry for the sarcasm, (well not really) but, I find it ridiculous in watching people come to Mass inappropriately dressed, and conduct themselves improperly, by thinking they are off to the "Social Occasion of the Year", and are so worried about what everyone thinks.
Oh How I can't stand when I see people worrying about what others think. Wake up people. Their is only ONE that you need to worry about!
Oh, and He sees all !
So give Him the respect He deserves and give him His Church back!
Put the statues back and get those hideous tapestrys out of our site!

I really don't care if people don't want to hear this, but it is the truth.
In Fact, I am sick and tired of it . I am tired of them trampling all over Our Lord while He is being taking by the hands of individuals who are not worthy, and to know that He is being dropped on the ground. Every particle is His presence, and He is being walked on daily. We need to kneel in His presence. Sorry but this infuriates me!

Yes, maybe this isn't the Christian approach but you know what? I am human too, and I have feelings. They are hurt from the effects of Vatican II , and I am tired of pretending the scars haven't left damage sometimes!

I get tired of being inconvienced and have to attend Mass in the middle of the day. Oh yes, we must be sympathetic to the Traditionalists, and we need to allow them to have their Mass. We are not two years old here!! We can't stand being pacified, but well we have been forced into a corner. You know what they say about being forced into a corner. You come out fighting, and fighting strong and hard. That's what I attend to do. I will not cave in to the beliefs of Vatican II and their Protestant Behaviors.

Well it would be nice to be able to start my day with this Mass like everyone else is allowed to in the Novus Ordo Rite. Sure I am bitter. I would be lying if I said I wasn't.

Ok I have vented now, but I could surely go on. I think I will leave it for another time

To get to the Church from I-95 North it is Exit 8 Atlantic Ave and take the third right

From I 95 South exit 8 Elm St. Take a left at the exit

Ginny, believe me, you are not saying anything too much different from a lot of us. I would ask you to consider getting more time before the Blessed Sacrament to give Him the bitterness. Believe me, He will take all that on, and give you some peace with all the things that are going on right now. We Traditional Catholics are not going down without a fight, but the true warrior puts on all that armour of faith that is spoken about in the bible, and that is where we will win.

Bishop Cordileone came to the congregation in San Diego and has done at least one Mass like the one you all had in CT. The difference is that we had to have our Mass at Holy Cross, in the Catholic Cemetary, where we now have two Masses on Sunday. That is where we, in San Diego, are allowed to have our Mass said. No one from that congregation is willing to move from there, because there is a fear that we will have to be subjected to the Novus Ordo and be watered down in some way. The attempts to get us to integrate ourselves into another church have all failed. I happen to sing in that choir, and we have taken a lot of hits, so to speak, for our wanting to remain traditional in our other activities, like, some of the men in the choir are Little Secular Brothers and are affiliated with the Little Oratory of St. Philip Neri in London and sing vespers on occasion. Most of the congragation will not attend because they believe that because the vespers are sung in another parish, and not at Holy Cross, that they are not the traditional ones. Believe me, they are the traditional vespers, in Latin, all in Gregorian Chant, so, even getting them there to see that is impossible, but the men sing vespers anyway, to an almost empty church. The Mass that bishop Cordileone did for us was well attended, and very beautiful, but alas, we have not seen him for over a year. We hope he comes back. He is a very nice man, and it is true, is a strong supporter of the Tridentine Latin Mass. So, you are not alone, and please continue to pray, and some day we will all be able to see the fruits of the labors of the traditional Catholics.
